There have been many changes in my life since I’ve last shared any information through my website. Since my last update, I’ve decided to return to school and pursue my Masters in Education at Strayer University and I plan to graduate in the spring of 2007.

On top of that, I’ve decided to rededicate myself to getting serious with my weight again. I’ve taken off about 70lbs. Stay tuned to the website and look for “The Scale” box to the left, it will keep a running tally of my success in losing weight. I encourage everyone to hold me accountable and continue to encouragement with this effort.

I’ve continued on my love for travel and had the opportunity to go on a singing tour in Timisora, Cluj and Sibul Romania. I was a member of the group “Difference“. Be sure and click on the link to find out more about this great ministry.

The trip was life changing. I plan to return to Romania this June. I just can’t say enough about how I’ve been impacted by what I saw. The biggest wake-up call of the trip was that it kicked me out of my comfort zone. Just like my trip to Russia and Hungary during my days at Mount Vernon.

To see people who make less that $200.00 a month, and many not having a car, continue to praise the Lord the way they do made me realize I take living in the United States for granted. I’ve never experienced worship like they worship in Romania. We had a concert at the Agape Church in Timisora and when they pray, they pray LOUD!; I almost thought it was a thunderstorm right there in Church, it was more like an “up-pour” of prayers to Heaven.

While in Romania, I met a girl name Ramona who makes $0.30 cents an hour and raised MY spirits; and when I told her she changed my life she asked “How did I do that?” We spread seeds to about 4,000 people and 13 people came forward publicly; which is good for a country that hasn’t had the gospel shared with them in the way we presented it to them. We met our goal and God showed us He was there every step of the way. All the equipment, luggage, instruments made it to Romania without any problems. No one got sick or was lost. I knew God’s mighty hands and arms of protection were constantly around our group.

Since coming home to the states, I’ve come to know a Romanian family a lot better and have become a part of their lives. There’s also a Russian family that I go to church with from time to time as well.

My interests in actively pursuing my music have taken some turn for the better in recent days. I met a record owner/producer that is getting me in touch with a gentleman who wrote numerous hits for Sandi Patty. I’ve dreamt of having the chance to write with him since I was 16.

God is revealing himself to me in ways that I’ve never seen before in my life. My passion is to go to 2nd and 3rd world countries and use the voice He’s given me to lead people to Him. I hope and pray that my trip to Romania was just a taste of what things will be like in the future. I look forward to going to many more countries and proclaiming the gospel to the world!

That’s it for now. Be sure and stay in touch with me through the website and via e-mail.

Until next time!

Sincerely,

Dana
